Euthanasia - thank you notes

“We are all truly grateful with the manner in which you dealt with our beautiful sweet Nando. You made it so peaceful without rushing, we couldn't have asked for a better way for him to go. If Nando could he too would say thank-you to you.”

“Thank you for your great understanding and compassion in the passing of Byelee last Wednesday. He was able to die in peace, at home with me as we both wished. I'd been preparing for this since I first heard of you nearly two years ago. I needed to find somebody whom I trusted to take great care of my beautiful cats and I certainly found that person in you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“how thankful I was to have discovered your home visiting service. Deciding that it was time to say goodbye to our beloved Tabby was very hard but due to your skill and understanding the end was not as traumatic as it would have been if she had had to go to the vet.”

“Dear Caroline
Thank you so much for your really sweet card.
We all miss Ella tremendously but are so happy that we chose you to help us send her to the angels. It was a very moving experience and we all valued your professionalism and expertise.
We buried her with flowers and tea lights on top of the grave, a champagne toast, fond memories and more tears.
We all wish you the very best with the great work you're doing.

“I can't thank you enough for her relaxing sleep, we were so lucky to find you! x :-)”

“Hi Caroline,
Thank you so much for the kind, gentle and compassionate way in which you treated Pippin (and indeed me), in his passing. Due to the fantastic service you provided, Pip was as comfortable as he possibly could be under the circumstances of his condition and I feel very fortunate to have found you. I wish I’d known about you earlier.
Once again, many many thanks to you, much appreciated.”

“Dear Caroline
Just to say thank you for coming and putting Minnie to sleep on a Sunday, for us it was a very much better experience than being at the surgery or the animal hospital, however good they are.  To have her just go to sleep at home with us was special and felt so much better. You gave us the time to feel okay about this decision and to have her just fall asleep in her own home, the whole process seemed so much gentler for us and for Minnie”

“I wanted to say a huge thank you for being with us during these last few months. For me, your professionalism and warmth have been an amazing help. You always knew the right thing to say and I cannot get over your absolute resonance with all of our concerns, emotions and challenges. I am immensely grateful for your support and everything you were able to achieve during this time.”

“When Rae was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in his jaw, he was given only a few more months to live. The diagnosis process had been long, and as a lifelong indoor cat the constant- and often traumatic- visits to our local veterinary surgery had begun to take their toll on both of us. Wanting to make sure that his final months were as happy as possible, I started doing some research and came across Caroline's site. After speaking with her on the phone, I was immediately put at ease. I was left in no doubt whatsoever that I would be doing the best possible thing for my best friend at the end of his journey.
For the last 4 months of Rae's life, he was happy, comfortable and content on closely monitored palliative care and with regular checkups in the security of familiar surroundings. Caroline was exceedingly patient with us both- accommodating, gentle and compassionate. There was never any question that she had Rae's very best interests at heart. When the time finally came to put Rae down, he was in his favourite room in the house, curled up comfortably in my arms. I will always be grateful to Caroline for providing an opportunity for him to pass away so peacefully and with such dignity. Deciding to put Rae down was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make- but being at home with him when it happened and having Caroline at my side made an extremely difficult situation more bearable. If I ever have another cat in my life, I'll make sure that Caroline is their vet from the start."

“I'm so grateful for all the care you gave Maddy - I really don't know what I would have done without your help - and I'm also really grateful to you for making her passing a peaceful one. I miss her so much, but it really does help to know that we did everything we could for her. I think any cat is very lucky indeed to be under your care.”
